​Yohannes Bayou

In September 21/1990, Yohannes Bayou was born. His childhood was ordinary time. Like any child he tried to speak as a child, laughed, played, fought, loved, etc….

After completing his secondary schooling in Dejazmach Wondirad Secondary school, derived by his will, he joined Addis Ababa University Ale Art Center in 2009. After receiving his first degree, he established Ersas Art Studio.

"Most of the ideas in my works came to my mind, when became lonely; I like to travel long journeys by transportation means. By looking through car windows, I thought about many things. Especially, I do think about the human being and nature’s beauty…. In addition I try to read books.

"Books have visible prints in my works. They create pictures in my mind. By using my display canvas, by thoroughly thinking in respect to these ideas, then I do visually draw them." As Yohannes Bayou said regarding his work concepts and passion to draw.

Beyond this he does not neglect his birth and living areas, places seen, delighting and sour memories, his spiritual life and same things have been ingredients to his works. Currently, Yohannes Bayou has continued in drawing activities in full time in "Ersas Art Studio" and showed his works domestically and internationally.
